The Best Third Person Shooter PC Games

I don't like to BE the shooter (too much of a guilt complex, plus FPS's give me a stomachache) but I sure like to DIRECT the shooter! What are your favorite third-person shooter games for the PC? They don't have to be exclusive to the PC, just available for them.

Max Payne was the first and only third person PC shooter I have ever played. It was a revelation. Good graphics (for its time, at least), an engaging storyline, inventive modes of storytelling (gameplay, cut scenes, comicbook-like storyboards, TV broadcasts, etc.) and a reasonable difficulty level (me being a novice, I was able to play the game all the way through).
