Remote, rugged and extremely diverse. Volcanoes, the "American Alps" (north cascades), tons of wildlife (grizzly, wolf, brown bear, mountain lions, cougars, eagles...) few people despite being so close to Seattle/Portland. Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, Mt Baker...the list goes on and on.

Located in east central Idaho the Lemhi range is set in a semi-arid desert location. They are famous for their reddish color and being the landmark where Lewis & Clark first met the Shoshone Indians. They are a very unique looking range and their isolation makes them a truly special place to visit.

Located in lovely Central Idaho the Sawtooths are a stunning display of jagged rock. Their name describes the range perfectly... jagged rocky teeth that seem to stretch on forever. It is part of the Sawtooth National Recreation area. The only town in the area is Stanely, Idaho, a small mountain town with 100-150 full-time residents. Thompson Peak (10,751'), is the highest peak in the Sawtooth Range.
